Description
This is my more personal piece to be published to date. I am the guy painted here both in positive and negative ways. I got this idea reflecting on myself a few weeks ago. We all have to be like that from time to time I suppose : positive and negative, right and wrong, good and evil, happy and sad, ... Yin and Yang I guess. Differences you can see between the two "me" are obviously intended.It was made using two photos I took as references. I vertically mirrored one and obtained the negative with PS7. The bass guitar (fretless) is the one I'm playing with most of the time. I cheated a bit with it since I draw the strings with a ruler and a drawing pencil. I thought it gives a good impression of strings slight reflections.
Material used was :
Watercolours: Rembrandt (Royal Talens), Rownet-Manet
Black Indian Ink: Pelikan #17
White Gouache (for a few touches on the guitar): Talens
Brushes: Raphaël #6 1/4, #8
This piece was a gift for my best (female) friend, named Marion.

From point of composition I think you could add them some space to the sides - it feels kinda tight
Except for that it is awesome drawing - very expressive.Love the guitar

@cupcake: so different from me? Sorry, but you have no idea: as I said in the description, "This is my more personal piece to be published to date". The others things I published so far came from my "bright side", I would say. I realise that this one's definitely from my dark side
I must listen too much to Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, Radiohead, etc...
