Description

This is a commissioned work : my best (male) friend asked to do a watercolours portrait of his 2 years-old daughter Clara. So here it is, using a photo I shot as reference. I really like her expression here and I decided to give a title to this work from what I am feeling of it.

This work took me about 4 afternoons on a corner of my bar (roughly between 15 and 20 hours), using :
Watercolours: Talens, Rowney-Manet
White gouache (for slights touches in her hair and garnments): Talens
Brushes: Talens, Raphaël

Her right side of face and hair looks a bit too grey. Excellent work otherwise.

Nice! I agree with Roadrunner about the grey colors which when combined with her facial expression makes her look like she's feeling sick.

Wonderful, I see what twistoflime was mentioning above. I am sure your friend will love it though!

I already gave it to him. He :r ... no, I'm joking, he seemed to be really pleased, unless he's a good actor, but I know him too well :)
